COMPETITION

As usual, this time 10 teams of 3 sculptors will be admitted to the competition, chosen by a qualified jury who will select the best ten projects submitted to the event's organizational office. The artists may use any manual tools and techniques in the execution of their projects. Art in Ice is the theme of the event. Each artist is free to interpet art and snow as they please. Participation in the selection is subject to the delivery of a project proposal, the registration coupon and a professional resumé.
Proposals must be clearly presented: photos, sketches or other images are appreciated. The position of the snow sculptures will be chosen by a draw; they will be on display along the main roads of Livigno.
The dimensions of the snow-blocks will be 3 mt. height, 3 mt. width and 3 mt. depth. Chain saws and other electric devices , internal or external supports and colouring substances are forbidden. The sculpture must be completely finished on all four sides.

Board and lodging for the artists are at the expense of the Organization. Extras are not included. Each team will be given a refund of documented expenses. Each artist will receive a certificate of participation.
proposalsmust arrive at the Organization's office no later than 25th October 2010. The ten selected teams of artists will be contacted no later than the 30th October 2010.
All snow sculptures must be sculpted and finalized on December 4, 5 and 6, 2010.
Expected arrival: evening of December 3. Departure: December 7 in the afternoon .
